Oh so many amazing colour combinations in this old Swedish house! I like the green floral curtains, the brown checkered table cloth & all the blue shades in the kitchen very much. See more pictures here.
The flea market season has started and I have visited a few in the past weeks.
Picture #1 was an old lady's table at a garage sale. She had so many beautiful things and she was very sweet as well! I bought the potholders and the small tin on picture #2 and #3 from her.
The book at picture #4 is a fine Swedish schoolbook from 1952 & the teaspoons at picture #5 are from the local thriftstore.
We drove to the North Sea with the children today to visit the beautiful old seaside hotel Svinkløv. We go for a walk there sometimes and this afternoon we had cakes & coffee. A & I were there last summer just the two of us. It is a wonderful place :^)
In a couple of weeks I will hand in my very last exam paper. It's been difficult for me writing it - for various reasons. I hope everything will be fine at the end of May & that meanwhile all of you are enjoying this beautiful spring!
Update: something just made me very happy. Two Swedish women wrote about my photos at their beautiful blogs Hallonsemla & Bonjour Vintage. Thank you so much Rebecca and Madeleine!
Pilfingerdagen or Klåfingerdagen (in English: Little O) is a sweet children's book I found in the antiquarian bookstore the other day. Written in 1957 by Swedish author Edith Unnerstad & with lovely illustrations by the Danish illustrator Iben Clante.
For 30 years Finnish author Tove Jansson spent all her summers in a small cottage on the island Klovharu in the Pellinki archipelago, Finland. I would love a summer with my family in a place like that.
